Future Prize

An award at the crossroads of art and science, recognizing ideas that help shape a livable and thoughtful future. The Future Prize is open to a wide audience — from schools and universities to independent thinkers of all ages.

The focus is on projects that bring together careful research with creativity, presenting visions that are practical yet imaginative. Submissions may take many forms: experiments, designs, performances, or proposals that spark discussion and inspire action.

The prize values clarity, originality, and the courage to suggest new ways forward. Humor is welcome where it sharpens insight or opens a fresh perspective.

The Future Prize is presented under future.science , a platform dedicated to encouraging global participation in building futures worth living.

# Art for Futures Lab

The Future Prize celebrates the intersection of art, design and science using creativity to imagine new futures, and design to help consciously shape these futures in a healthy democratically mandated direction. We use story telling and myth to communicate between these possible futures and the present.

To this end we envisage a diversity of prizes, that we bring together under a single umbrella. Just as the Oscars has various sub-categories, we imagine opening up the prize to include specialist art, desing, stroy telling, performance, writing as well as the various science specialties.

We can use subdomains to indcate these, such as: - art.future.science - dance.future.science - spoken.word.future.science

In the spirit of the project, the Future Prize would use an imaginative art and science based editorial policy in order to award the prize each year: - Future Science Mechanics
