Why is this project important? What is the point? Who is it for? How does it help me? How does it help others? There are many questions to do with purpose, that we ask from time to time. On this page, I give my personal take for both my personal motivation and for how I understand the motivation of the other.
> Note: I have personally avoided this question. Mainly because in my culture to answer it is not cool - virtue signalling, and the lack of self-awareness, but mostly the complete absense of humour accompany most any answer that is given. Best not.
# Why it's good for me The project is and should be soul food. It reflects who I wish to be in this world. I feel like a hitchhiker, I aspire to be and to support other characters within this movie. It makes me smile. Importantly I understand that participation in this project, when taken seriously is a job. I see that the skills needed to realise it, align with my experience and talents. I wish to earn a reasonable living from this project, to learn some important Tools for the Future.
# Saving the Planet I like the humour in this phrase. I like the absurdity, and seriousness of it's meaning. I wish to save the planet - although it is quite clear that the planet has no interest in being saved. A very selfish motivation.
