Text is incredibly important for the Hitchhikers Project. The H2G2 Community is a community foremost of writers. Our first audience across a number of communities are individuals that have a singular focus on text and the structure of textual documents.
At the same time, I know from running workshops with diverse communities across a number of cultures that there is a demand for a finished product — leaving the text in a muddle of pages is not enough. It is demotivating.
Furthermore, the world has moved on, and largely away from text. Mobile-friendly video formats are popular; games and high-quality design are expected. While we can retain interest within our communities by leveraging a certain amount of retro-chic, it will get us only so far. We must deliver beauty.
And it is possible — or that is my belief. And this is my plan, about which I would ask for your critical and constructive feedback.
